What is a capsule wardrobe?
A capsule wardrobe is a thoughtfully curated selection of 15 to 20 timeless, versatile pieces that work beautifully together. Instead of overflowing your closet, you get fewer items that mix-and-match effortlessly — making everyday dressing simpler, more stylish, and more sustainable.
How do you select the items and brands featured?
Every piece at Capsule is handpicked. We combine three sources:
- Sustainable new brands that meet strict ethical and environmental standards. Check our brands.
- Secondhand treasures like vintage luxury scarves, belts, jewelry, bags, etc. carefully sourced and authenticated.
We curate them into cohesive capsules, each reflecting a distinct lifestyle and aesthetic.
Are your secondhand items authenticated?
Yes. Every secondhand item is checked for authenticity, quality, and condition before it’s listed. If an item has signs of wear, we describe it transparently in the product details. Our goal is to give pre-loved pieces a new life — with honesty and style.
What makes Capsule sustainable?
We believe sustainability means making smarter choices, not just more choices. Capsule reduces fashion’s footprint by:

Orders & Pre-orders
How do pre-orders work?
Pre-orders let you secure your favorite pieces before they officially launch. You place your order as usual, and we reserve the item for you. Shipping begins once the collection is live — you’ll always see the expected delivery date on the product page. Pre-ordering ensures you don’t miss out on limited capsule items.
What does made-to-order mean?
Made-to-order means your item is crafted just for you after you place your order. This approach reduces waste and ensures thoughtful production. For BLOOM pieces, please allow around 10 days for production, plus shipping time. Trust us — they’re worth the wait!
Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?
If you change your mind, please reach out to us as quickly as possible. We’ll do our best to adjust or cancel your order if it hasn’t already been prepared for shipping. Once an item has shipped, you can still use our return process within the 14-day return window.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes! Capsule digital gift cards are available and make a perfect present for anyone who loves sustainable style. They can be purchased online and delivered instantly by email. Gift cards can be used across all collections and expire after 12 months.
How do I know which size to choose?
We include sizing information for each product on its page. Since we work with different sustainable brands and secondhand pieces, sizing may vary slightly. To help you find your best fit, we provide a dedicated size guide. If you’re between sizes or unsure, we recommend checking the guide or reaching out to us — we’re happy to help you choose!
Shipping & Delivery
Where do you ship from?
We ship all orders from Switzerland.
Which countries do you ship to?
We currently ship within Switzerland. We’re working on expanding further — sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know when new regions are added.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping within Switzerland is free for orders over CHF150. For smaller orders, shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination and order size. The exact amount will be shown before you confirm your order.
How long does delivery take?
- Switzerland: usually 2–4 business days after dispatch.
- Pre-orders: ship on the launch date shown on the product page.
- Made-to-order items: please allow around 10 days for production, plus the standard shipping time. We’ll update you by email as soon as your piece is ready to ship.
Do I have to pay customs or import duties?
Within Switzerland: no, VAT is already included.
Returns & Refunds
Can I return an item if it doesn’t fit?
Yes! You can return eligible items within 14 days of receiving your order, as long as they are unworn, in their original condition, and with all tags attached.
Please note: underwear and personalized items are excluded for hygiene or customization reasons.
What is your return policy for secondhand items?
Secondhand items can also be returned within 14 days, provided they are in the same condition as when you received them. Because secondhand pieces are unique, they may show minor signs of wear — these will always be described in the product listing and do not count as defects.
How do I start a return?
Simply contact us within 14 days of receiving your order. We’ll share the return instructions and address.
Please note: return shipping costs are your responsibility, unless the item is defective or incorrectly delivered.
When will I receive my refund?
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund to your original payment method. This usually takes 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider. We will notify you by email as soon as the refund is on its way.
Warranty & Quality
Are secondhand items guaranteed?
Yes. Even though they are pre-loved, we inspect each item thoroughly before listing and clearly describe any visible wear or characteristics. If you receive something that’s defective (beyond what was described), we’ll help you repair, replace, or refund it.
Are my items covered if something goes wrong?
Yes. If something you buy from us turns out to be faulty, we will repair it, replace it, or refund you — depending on what is possible. This applies to both new and secondhand items. Normal wear and tear from daily use is not considered a fault. For secondhand items, defects as specified in the product description is not considered a fault.
What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
If your item arrives damaged, defective, or isn’t what you ordered:
- Please get in touch with us within 7 days of receiving the item.
- Tell us what’s wrong and send photos (if possible).
- We’ll cover the cost of return shipping (if it’s our error), and either send you a replacement or issue a full refund depending on stock availability.

Do I need an account to shop?
No, you can check out as a guest. But creating an account makes things easier — you’ll be able to track your orders, save your favorites, and manage your returns in one place.
What are the benefits of creating an account?
With an account, you can:

How do Capsule memberships work?
We offer tiered memberships:

Can I cancel my membership at any time?
Yes, you’re in control. You can cancel a paid membership at any time from your account dashboard or by contacting us. Your membership will stay active until the end of your current billing cycle.
Payments
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and TWINT (Switzerland). At checkout, you’ll see all available payment options for your region.
Is it safe to pay on your website?
Yes. Our shop runs on Shopify, which uses secure encryption technology (SSL) to protect your data and payments. We never store your payment details — they’re handled directly by trusted payment providers.
Can I pay in my local currency?
Our store operates in CHF (Swiss francs). If you’re shopping from another currency zone, your bank or payment provider will handle the conversion automatically at their exchange rate.
